I’m currently seeking publication for my main project, a creative non-fiction Christian novella called Outskirts of Heaven.
Outskirts of Heaven was birthed from a personal experience with the miraculous. It is also a story about a young couple, told with humor and candor, as they come to grips with struggles and victories, children, and loss. While some would call it a tragic love story, I describe it as hopeful tale about the forever quality of love in this world and the next. More than anything, it is a love story between God and humanity. It offers a peek beyond the veil separating our world and eternity—not due to a near-death experience, but due to a bond that transcended death.
Through this book, I share the lessons I’ve learned: The goal of this life is not to win or lose but to be your best self; God’s grace sees you through any challenge with faith; love always prevails in the end. I also seek to offer comfort and hope to anyone who has experienced loss—something we all face should we live long enough. Life in this realm is, in reality, just the tip of the iceberg. It is what we don’t see that is eternal. In the Outskirts of Heaven, I share my true story of a journey to Heaven and back, and the road that brought me there.
